Below are two of the first of 6 new artworks that are inspired by the 1950s.
The artowrk utilizes authentic vintage imagery from very very early fashion magazines and antique 1890s ledger book paper, in combination with image transfers, inking, stamping and some digital ‘enhancements’. The antique fashion images are actually from a 1951 Vogue magazine! Cool huh? I love the iconic style of the photography and the ads in the magazines with the ‘bullet-bras’ are hilarious!
The artwork collection will be available as limited edition 9×12 watercolour giclees soon; I will be keeping the original canvasses for my own personal collection. Enjoy and let me know what you think…
