Have had the pic-bug for a while and decided that tonight, even though storm clouds and a breezy evening were looming, I’d brave the crazy and dash out for a few shots. My original plan had me heading over to an industrial area to shoot some uber-cool, graffitied railcars. The structure in the photograph is the UBC Lecky Boathouse – a community and semi-private rowing facility along the Middle Arm. I’m working on new directions for my artwork… alot of the style will be in the same vein, but a more vintage, Audrey Hepburn treatment is coming down the pipe. Also, I’m working alot more with my botanical altered photography and combining them in collage-style artworks… BUT while recently experimenting with my new iMac iMovie feature, [...] Ok… so many of you have probably heard about the throw down between Richmond and the Colbert Report. The City of Richmond had invited Stephen Colbert to be an official Ombudsman at the Speed Skating venue and offered him this role to ensure that US Speed Skaters were treated ‘fairly’ after Colbert ‘accused’ Richmond of [...] A video look at ROO… It’s a place that we, as Richmond citizens and me, personally a City of Richmond employee, are proud of… This is where I will be hanging my volunteer hat for 2.5 weeks, starting February 7. WOW! It’s coming so fast…
I know, I know… I keep saying this BUT ohmigod! I cannot believe how busy I am these days! I need at least 6 more hours a day for the next 3 months… Work is crazy busy with all kinds of stuff on my plate for the 2010 Winter Olympics. For example, 250+ signs to design [...] I love, love, love this new show! The characters are developing nicely and we’re starting to really get into interesting storylines… Crazy wives who pretend they are pregnant, a cheerleader who IS preggers, girls who crush on boys, boys who crush on girls, a hilarious gay character, insane teachers with serious mood swing issues, a germophobe [...] Got ‘dragged’ to a concert by co-worker/friend Kathy and saw 3 great acts: Carolina Liar [good but too LOUD!], One Republic [amazingness!] and Rob Thomas [2 hour set! what more could you ask for?] Here is video from One Republic covering Tears for Fears SHOUT! with Carolina Liar as back-up: One Republic [SHOUT!] at Vancouver from Christina [...] |
