and a new HDR photograph. This was taken at 7:40pm along the Middle Arm of the Fraser River in Richmond BC, on the Middle Arm Greenway. The structure in the photograph is the UBC Lecky Boathouse – a community and semi-private rowing facility along the Middle Arm.
This unique structure is a facility that provides training opportunities for the University of British Columbia [UBC] Rowing Team outside of Vancouver and community water/rowing programs for Richmond residents of all ages. Enjoy the eyecandy…

What did I do this weekend? Hmm, maybe this will help…

Three of my oldest and dearest friends and I had a ‘girls’ weekend. We celebrated our collective 40th birthdays this year in Whistler BC. I’ll have a complete recap of the weekend tomorrow… but right now, I gotta sleep. I’m a tired girl!
Catch you on the flip side with lots of pics, a story or two and a recipe for an amazing martini!

There is a great old place in Point Roberts, WA called the REEF. It’s an old pub/bar location on the beach and has been around forever.
Yesterday, I had to go pick up a few ebay packages from our PO Box in Point Roberts and got down to the USPS office too early [pick-up on Saturday is between 12:15 - 1:15pm]. I happened to bring my new Manfrotto monopod [I call it my 'Man Frotto' like in LOTR] and camera gear with me, so I drove around the Point taking some photographs and killing time. I headed down towards the water and the Reef Tavern, and after seeing the sign I thought that the vintage/1950s feel of the signage deserved a little HDR treatment, so here you go! I give you the REEF in High Dynamic Range – tasty isn’t it?
