I created a custom NASCAR Cup car using the Toyota Racing Sponsafier. Vote for my design: http://www.sponsafier.com/share/174037 #sponsafier
If I win, my car will be created and DRIVEN in a Cup race! AND the driver will have a driving suit to match my Pink Devil car… Cool!
Czech vs. Slovakia Olympic Hockey Game
Posted by christina in Random Bits on February 18th, 2010
This is our first of 5 Olympic Hockey games – 3 men’s and 2 women’s.
We were cheering for underdog Slovakia because, well, they were the underdog and also because Pavol Demitra is a Vancouver Canuck and plays for the Slovak team.
The fans at these national games are amazing… Dressed up in crazy costumes, cheering loud and long, they are a little insane – in a good way. Was lots of fun tonight, and even though the Slovakian team lost, it was an entertaining evening of good quality hockey.

First off… HAPPY NEW YEAR my friends!!
The new year came in and blew by me with a flurry of activity, migraine and too much to do!Before I knew it, it was January 3 and I hadn’t blogged for weeks… So I’m here to correct that =)
On New Year’s Eve, we opted to stay home since my head was on the verge of multiple migraine explosions and we thought it best for me to stay put, near my bed and icebag. We watched a hockey game, a couple of movies and I snoozed on and off while couch surfing. Yeah… I lead an exciting life LOL!
We have had some fun though in the week between Christmas and New Year… We shopped in the USA and stimulated the American economy; gambled at the ‘friendliest casino in Washington’ and left with twice $$ that we came in with; we ate – a lot! – and now I have to de-sugar and detox my bod for the new year; and now with 2010 firmly begun, I have 39 days until the biggest party in Vancouver begins – the Olympics!
The volume of ‘to-dos’ on my list is enormous… Read the rest of this entry »
Happy Halloween!!

new artwork using my photography!
Posted by admin in Random Bits, mixed media, photography on October 26th, 2009
I was lucky enough to have a great art workshop with Karen Michel this past week and below is some of the fruit from my class experience. Altered Photos! Love them… what a great way to art up my botanical photography and take them to a NEW artistic level.
These new botanical collage art pieces will be available at the Portobello West November show. In the meantime, enjoy the eye candy…
Sounds like an interesting project…

I just signed up for this art project: The SketchBook Project
I read about it on MaryAnn Moss’ blog and looked into it…
Basically thousands of sketchbooks will/are assembled into a virtual and travelling exhibition, uniting artists in a common project. Sounds cool huh? It sounded fun and ‘doable’ enough for me to sign up.
Here is the nitty-gritty deets you need to know:
- there is a small sign-up fee to cover the cost of the Moleskin sketchbook, shipping and management of the project
- it’s unjuried – so no judgements are made on the ‘quality’ of work submitted and that means EVERYONE’s work is included!!
- you are given 1 of 30 random themes
- and everything is due back in January 2010.
Once I get the moleskin sketchbook, I’ll start posting my sketches here in the bloggy-blog-blog.
Maybe YOU should consider signing up too?
